Visualizing Shakespeare is a workshop for advanced actors. Using imagery of Shakespeare’s Globe as a source, Valerie helps actors bring Shakespeare’s texts alive by using the AR/VR app “Globe 360”, which enables users to position themselves on stage at Shakespeare’s Globe. Visualizing Shakespeare helps actors to heighten a personal connection to the text and to activate Shakespeare’s texts in auditions and solo work. Visualizing Shakespeare expands on the existing research on the power of visualization for athletes to help actors create dynamic, embodied relationships to Shakespeare’s texts.
